France returned to winning ways after recording a 2-0 win over Belgium in their UEFA Nations League encounter in Lyon on Monday night, Afrosport reports.
Les Bleus were let down by a 3-1 home loss to Italy in their previous game but turned things around for Didier Deschamps men as the Paris Saint-Germain duo of Randal Kolo Muani and Ousmane Dembele scored in the 29th and 57th minutes, respectively to give them their first win in the competition.
In the other group game, Italy continued their dominant run with a 2-1 win over Israel at the Bozsik Arena in Budapest, which saw them remain atop the standings, as goal from Davide Fratessi and Moise Kean were enough to do the damage despite Mohammad Fani’s 90th minute consolation goal for Israel.

Meanwhile, in League B, Slovenia got the better of Kazakhstan with a 3-0 win thanks to a first international hat-trick from RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko.
Elsewhere, Erling Haaland scored the winner as Norway edged out Austria 2-1 to return to winning ways following a goalless draw at Kazakhstan in their opening match.
The Manchester City forward struck in the 80th minute after Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marcel Sabitzer had cancelled Felix Myhre’s opener for the hosts inside Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo.
