Nantes forward Moses Simon will undergo surgery in the next few days according to manager Antoine Kamboure, Afrosport reports.
The Nigeria international sustained the injury during Nantes 4-1 defeat to Brest last weekend.
Although Simon played the game till the final whistle, he registered an assist for Nantes’ consolation goal.
Komboure confirmed the 29-year-old will be unavailable for two weeks.
“We are taking advantage of this period, with the short break coming up, for him to have this operation,” Kamboure said per Ouest France ahead of his side’s Coupe de France clash with JA Drancy on Saturday.
“It will give him a period of two weeks before he can calmly resume with the group.”
Moses Simon has scored four goals and registered five assists in 14 games this season.
