Morocco to host back-to-back CAF Awards in December

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed Morocco as host country for the 2023 CAF Awards.

The annual award ceremony is a celebration of African football and the last edition was held in the Moroccan city of Rabat in July 2022.

CAF, on Tuesday, stated that date for the football fiesta is December 11, 2023, and the time and host city will be announced at a later time.

Senegal’s Sadio Mane and Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala were the biggest winners of the 2022 CAF Awards as they were named the African Footballer of the Year in the men’s and women’s categories.

Other awards that will be at stake in this year’s ceremony include Interclub Player of the Year (men and women), Young Player of the Year (men and women), National Team of the Year (men and women), Coach of the Year (men and women), Club of the Year (men and women) and Goal of the Year.
