Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi has been nominated for the Ligue 1 best African player of the season award.
The 23-year-old, who is currently on loan at OGC Nice from Lorient, has been in impressive form this season with 16 goals and two assists from 27 appearances.
He has been nominated along with ten other African stars, including Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi and Democratic Republic of Congo’s Chancel Mbemba.
If Moffi emerges as the winner of the award, which will be announced on May 30, he will join compatriot Victor Osimhen as the most recent Nigerian to have picked up the honour named after former Cameroonian international Marc-Vivien Foe.
Osimhen won the award while playing for Lille in the 2019-20 season, where he finished with 13 goals and 4 assists in 27 matches.
