Bayern Munich icon Thomas Muller has completed his move to Major League Soccer (MLS) side Vancouver Whitecaps as a free agent for rest of the 2025 season, Afrosport reports.

The Whitecaps acquired the discovery priority rights for Muller from FC Cincinnati in exchange for $400,000 in General Allocation Money, and will officially join the club after clearing his international transfer certificate, visa and work permit.

“I’m looking forward to coming to Vancouver to help this team win a championship, he said.

“I’ve heard great things about the city, but first and foremost I’m coming to win. I’ve had great conversations with [sporting director] Axel Schuster and [head coach] Jesper Sorensen, and now I can’t wait to play in front of the supporters and to see all of the fans come out to BC Place as we head towards the play-offs.”

Muller scored 250 goals and provided 276 assists in 756 appearances for Bayern, winning 33 titles including 13 Bundesliga and two UEFA Champions League.

Meanwhile, Vancouver are currently second in the MLS Western Conference standings, one point behind San Diego FC with 10 regular season matches remaining
