Denis Bouanga scored as Los Angeles FC defeated Seattle Sounders 1-0 to reach the Major League Soccer Western Conference final for the third in their history.
The California outfit are the defending conference champions having beaten Austin FC 3-0 last year before going on to win Philadelphia Union on penalties in the MLS Cup.
Bouanga was once again the man to make it count thanks to his brilliant strike in the 30th minute from a tight angle that gave Stefan Frei in goal for the Sounders no chance of stopping.
It was his fourth goal in the playoffs and his 24th league goal to extend his lead at the top of the scorer’s charts this season. It was also the Gabon international’s 37th goal in all competitions this term.
