Kylian Mbappe continued his scintillating form in front of goal after netting twice in Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-1 win over Real Sociedad in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg on Tuesday night for a 4-1 aggregate victory.
The 25-year-old Franco-Cameroonian star scored in either half to move PSG into the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time since the 2020-21 season after Round of 16 exits in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
Mbappe’s brace took him to 35 goal involvements (24 goals, 11 assists) in 32 away games in the Champions League which is more than any player has contributed since he made his debut in the competition during the 2016-17 while on the books of Monaco.
