Mane makes Al Nassr debut in Arab Club Champions Cup against Zamalek

Senegal forward Sadio Mane made his debut appearance for Saudi Arabian club, Al Nassr in their 1-1 draw against Zamalek in the Arab Club Champions Cup on Thursday.

Mane was introduced as a 46th-minute substitute for Abdulaziz Al Elewai as Cristiano Ronaldo scored a late equaliser for the Riyadh-based outfit.

After a goalless first-half at the King Fahd Sport City Stadium, Zizo broke the deadlock for Zamalek from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute before Ronaldo powered in his header off Ivory Coast star Ghislain Konan’s cross for the equaliser, three minutes before the end of the game.

Ivory Coast’s Seko Fofana was the other African star who played for Al Nassr in the encounter.

Mane completed a £24m move to Saudi Arabia from Bayern Munich earlier this week, that will see him earn more than £650,000 per week.

The former Liverpool joined his compatriots Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly in the Saudi Pro League after the duo left Chelsea this summer.

During his only season at Bayern Munich, Mane scored seven goals in 25 Bundesliga games and he also lifted the German top-flight title.
