Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes will no longer miss the club’s next three Premier League matches following a “successful claim of wrongful dismissal”, Afrosport reports.
The Portuguese midfielder was given his marching orders after receiving a straight red card during Sunday’s 3-0 disappointing defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

Fernandes was sent off in the 42nd minute for serious foul play by referee Chris Kavanagh after tackling Spurs midfielder James Maddison with the score still at 1-0 following a third-minute finish from Welsh forward Brennan Johnson.
With United reduced to 10 men, the visitors took total control of the match, scoring two more goals in the second half through Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke.
Fernandes was initially expected to miss United’s next three league fixtures against Aston Villa (A), Brentford (H), and West Ham (A) but will now be available following the club’s successful appeal.
The midfielder is expected to make the trip to Portugal as Erik ten Hag’s men will switch their attention to the Europa League, where they will take on FC Porto at the Estádio do Dragao on Thursday, October 3.
