Man City agree €55 million deal to sign Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan

Manchester City have agreed to sign Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders from Italian Serie A giants AC Milan on a five-year deal worth a reported 55 million euros, Afrosport reports

The formalities of the deal are still to be completed, but would pose no problems as City land their first signing of the summer transfer window.

Reijnders was a bright spark in a disappointing season for Milan, who could only finish in eighth place in Serie A, missing out on qualification for Europe for the first time in six years.

The 26-year-old, who joined the Italian giants from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2023, scored 15 goals during the 2024-25 season and will bolster the midfield options for City boss Pep Guardiola following the departure of Kevin De Bruyne.

De Bruyne, who spent 10 seasons at the Etihad Stadium, scoring 108 goals, providing 177 assists and winning 19 titles, will reportedly join Napoli on a free transfer.

Meanwhile, Guardiola will be preparing his team for the revamped 32-team FIFA World Cup in the United States. City will face Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca in Group G before taking on United Arab Emirates side Al Ain and Italian heavyweights Juventus.
