Noni Madueke scored and provided an assist as Chelsea suffered a 4-2 pre-season loss to Manchester City on Saturday night.
The English winger of Nigerian heritage was on target in the Blues’ previous 3-0 win over Mexican giants Club America, netting the final goal in the 79th minute.
Enzo Maresca’s men however had no answer to the Citizens in Columbus, with last season’s Premier League top scorer Erling Haaland scoring a first half brace.
That was followed by a goal from Norwegian Oscar Bobb, who is of Gambian heritage, before Haaland completed his hat-trick in the 56th minute.
Madueke sprung into action when he assisted former City player Raheem Sterling three minutes later before adding his name on the scoresheet in the 89th minute.
