Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has returned to team training for the first time after three months out with an injury, the Premier League club announced on Friday.
The England international, who has not featured for United since February, sustained a calf injury in August. His initial return date was set for after October’s international break, but the 29-year-old suffered a setback, as revealed by former United manager Erik ten Hag.

Shaw missed the last three months of the 2023-24 season with a torn hamstring, but was selected in the Three Lions’ squad for last summer’s European Championship in Germany and played in England’s final defeat to Spain after missing the entire group phase.
His return to injury coincides with that of long-term absentee Tyrell Malacia, summer signing Leny Yoro, as well as Mason Mount and Christian Eriksen.
United are currently 13th in the Premier League standings with 12 points from their opening 10 matches, and they prepare to face Leicester City at Old Trafford on Sunday.
