Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah moved up the Premier League’s all-time goalscorers chart with his strike in their 2-2 draw against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, Afrosport reports.

The Egyptian forward drew the Reds level in the 81st minute with his sixth league goal of the season to earn Arne Slot’s men a point in North London.

The strike, however, took Salah’s tally in the Premier League to 163 goals in 272 appearances in the competition, as he surpasses former Tottenham Hotspur forward Jermaine Defoe (162 goals in 496 apps) and ties Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler in the eighth spot.

Salah, who joined the Reds from Italian club Roma in 2017, has established himself as one of the best footballers in world football, winning seven titles with the Anfield outfit, including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.

The Egypt international has scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 13 matches in all competitions this campaign for Liverpool, who currently occupies the second spot in the Premier League.

The Reds will be in action next on Wednesday, October 30, when they visit the Amex Stadium to take on Brighton and Hove Albion in the round of 16 in the EFL Cup.
