Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard became the franchise’s all-time leading scorer in the NBA with 18,048 career points.
The six-time NBA All-Star scored his 18,041st career point in the third quarter of the game against Oklahoma City Thunders to climb ahead of NBA legend Clyde Drexler’s 18,040 points
Lillard finished the game with 28 points as the Trailblazers lost their 14th game of the season at the Paycom Center.
The 32-year-old is the only player in the franchise’s history with six All-NBA honours and one of three players in Trail Blazers history to be named to the All-NBA First Team. He was recently named to the NBA’s Top 75 Greatest Players of All Time.
Lillard continues to edge his name into Trailblazers’ history as the all-time franchise leader in scoring average, three-pointers made (2,229), and free throws made (4,047).
The 2021 Olympic Gold medallist is second in field goals (5,883), second in minutes played (26,484), third in assists (4,857), fourth in games played (730), and sixth in steals (698) in the franchise’s history.
Portland Trail Blazers General Manager, Joe Cronin congratulated Lillard and spoke further about his commitment and dedication to the project.

The 2012 unanimous rookie of the year has enjoyed an impressive 2022-2023 season, averaging 28.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 7 assists in 34.7 minutes per game across 19 games this season.
