Antony was on target on the final day of the 2024-25 La Liga season as Real Betis played out a 1-1 draw with Valencia at the Estadio Benito Villamarin on Friday night, Afrosport reports.

The fixture was brought forward with Betis taking on Chelsea in the crunch UEFA Conference League final in Wroclaw next Wednesday.

It was the Manchester United loanee who put the Andalusian outfit in front in the 40th minute after he connected with a brilliant pass from Isco and bended a left-footed shot into the post.

It was the Brazilian’s sixth goal involvement in his last nine competitive matches (five goals, one assist), taking his overall tally for Betis to 13 contributions (eight goals and five assists) in 24 games.

It puts him just four goal involvements shy of his entire Man United tally (12 goals, five assists) in 96 competitive outings.


Manuel Pellegrini’s side held on to the lead until the 75th minute when Valencia equalised courtesy of Rafa Mir.

The result means Betis are guaranteed to finish in sixth place on the La Liga table as they are seven points behind fifth-placed Villarreal and eight points clear of seventh-placed Celta Vigo.

This also means they are guaranteed of a place in the league phase of next season’s UEFA Europa League whether they win Wednesday’s Conference League final or not.

Meanwhile, Valencia are guaranteed to finish in 12th place, securing their top flight survival for another season.
