Racheal Kundananji scored a goal and provided an assist as the Zambia women’s national team played out an entertaining 3-3 draw with Switzerland in a friendly at Tissot Arena in Biel/Bienne on Friday in preparation for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand later this month.
The Copper Queens had two previous warm-up friendlies against Tanzania and Ireland, winning the former 1-0 before losing 3-2 to the latter where Kundananji scored the second goal for the team with 11 minutes left on the clock.
Against the Swiss , the Madrid CFF Femenino forward provided an assist for Grace Chanda to equalise in the 13th minute after Ana-Maria Crnogorcevic gave Switzerland the lead five minutes prior.
Shanghai RCB star Barbra Banda made it 2-1 to Zambia in the 20th minute before turning provider for Kundananji’s second goal in as many games in added time of the first half.
Match ends in a draw at the Tissot Arena. The Copper Queens next pre World Cup friendly match will be against Germany on 7 July.

Zambia failed to hold on to their lead and allowed Switzerland to have their way back in the second with Seraina Piubel and Coumba Sow finding the back of the net to level the game.
Zambia’s next pre-World Cup friendly is against two-time champions Germany in Furth next Friday.
