Former Arsenal defender Kolo Toure is full of praise for Bukayo Saka’s abilities by comparing him with basketball legend Michael Jordan who won six NBA titles during his playing career.
Saka is currently leading Arsenal’s charge for a first Premier League title since 2004 with his contribution of 13 goals and 11 assists in 32 league appearances so far this season.
Toure, who was a member of the 2003-04 Invincibles, describes the England international as the difference maker in Mikel Arteta’s team and he believes the 21-year-old is approaching the ‘Michael Jordan moment’ as the season nears its climax.
“This is the first time he has had that pressure,” Toure told the Telegraph. “But it is money time now. This is when Michael Jordan made his money. When he made the difference.
“They would give him the ball when the pressure was on and they would look for the guy who could make the difference.
“The Arsenal team have Saka and this boy has a special talent, definitely. He’s been carrying that team very well this season.
“In the games coming, he has to show that. It’s not about age. It’s about talent. He has unbelievable talent and desire. He loves that club and I’m sure this is a player who can really push the team up.”
Arsenal visit Etihad Stadium on Wednesday for a crucial Premier League fixture against second-placed Manchester City in their title hunt.
The Gunners have drawn their last three league matches and they are currently five points above City who have two games at hand.
