Jurgen Klopp has reiterated that he will not leave Liverpool and is 100 percent committed as pressure begins to mount on him over the poor form of the club in the Premier League this season.
The Reds overcame Everton as goals from Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo powered them to a 2-0 win on Monday, however, Liverpool have lost seven games this season, winning just nine games.
It has been suggested Klopp – who signed a contract extension at Anfield until 2026 – is suffering from a seventh-season syndrome as witnessed at his previous clubs in Mainz and Borussia Dortmund where he could not secure their survival and Champions League berth respectively. The German tactician acknowledges it is a difficult period at Anfield presently and believes the team will come out of it together as collective unit.
“I understand that people would think that way, but I will not go and I cannot go. I have too much responsibility and I want it, and I want to sort it again,” Klopp said in a press conference.
“It is a difficult time, I don’t enjoy it but if we could show in this difficult time that this club is so special because we believe in everything – or people believe in me – then we have to go through this together, because then when we come out we will have great times again.
“I am here 100 percent committed. If we win I feel like I was part of it but if we lose I feel 100 percent responsible, I was always like this in my life, so you can imagine how big the responsibility at the moment is and how I feel now and we will do absolutely everything to get through this and prepare the very positive future again.”

Liverpool are practically out of title contention as they sit 22 points behind leaders Arsenal and 11 points away from the top four. Their only hope for silverware is in the UEFA Champions League where they continue their quest with a rematch of last season’s final against Real Madrid, this time in the Round of 16 with the first leg taking place at Anfield next Tuesday.
