Kip Keino Classic: Omanyala, Chepkoech, Richardson & Terry win in Kenya

It was thrilling weekend of action on the track and field of the Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi as top athletes from around the world converge for the 2023 Kip Keino Classic.

The Kip Keino Classic is the third stop of the World Athletics Continental Gold Tour and it produced some dominat displays from the stars.

Home-boy and Africa’s fastets man Ferdinand Omanyala set a new world lead in the 100m event with his finishing time of 9.84seconds.

In the absence of Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, American sprint star, Sha’carri Richardson stepped to dominate the women’s event as she clinched the women’s 200m event with a meet record time of 22.07seconds while her compatriot Twanisha Terry won the women’s 100m in 10.86seconds.
