Brentford manager Keith Andrews has praised the performance of Dango Ouattara, who scored on his debut in Saturday’s 1-0 Premier League win over Aston Villa at the Gtech Community Stadium, Afrosport reports.
The Burkina Faso forward joined the Bees from Bournemouth for a club record £42.5 million and hit the ground running with a goal in the 12th minute which was enough to hand Andrews his first win new boss after last week’s opening 3-1 loss at Nottingham Forest.
Reflecting on the result, the Irishman, who replaced Thomas Frank, said: “I thought everyone who was on the pitch defended phenomenally well.
“They approached the game with a mindset that was determined, selfless – when you look at someone like Dango [Ouatarra] and how he performed without the ball, it was all about the team – you can achieve amazing things when you’re all on the same page, and today we showed that.
“We nullified a lot of their strengths, where they want to play the game, and we pressed high really aggressively at times and looked dangerous from that structure.
“We restricted them to very few opportunities.”
