Inaki Williams scored a goal and provided an assist as Athletic Bilbao ended a four-game winless streak with a 2-1 victory over Celta Vigo on Saturday.
Los Leones came into the game on the back of a heavy 5-1 defeat at Villarreal last time out but came to life against Los Celestes when Williams gave them the lead in the fifth minute with a fine header from an Oscar de Marcos cross.
Celta equalised through Jorgen Strand Larsen in the 50th minute before Williams turned provider by nodding the ball to Alex Berenguer’s path in the six yard area to score the winner for Bilbao four minutes later.
It was the Ghana international’s third La Liga assist of the season with his previous assist coming in a 2-1 win at Valencia back in February. He has a total of nine goals in La Liga this season.
