Igor Tudor appointed as Tottenham interim head coach

Arsenal fail to extend lead with draw at Brentford

Igor Tudor has been appointed as the interim head coach of Tottenham Hotspur until the end of the season following the dismissal of Thomas Frank, Afrosport reports.

Frank was relieved of his duties after Tuesday’s 2-1 loss at home to Newcastle United which left them in 16th place and five points away from the relegation zone.

Tudor was previously in charge of Italian giants Juventus but was dismissed last October after an eight-match winless left them in eighth place in the Serie A.

According to BBC Sport, the Croatian could be given the job permanently if he impresses in the interim, however former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and recently-departed Olympique coach Roberto De Zerbi are the top choices for the permanent job.

“It is an honour to join this Club at an important moment,” Tudor told the club website.

“I understand the responsibility I have been handed and my focus is clear. To bring greater consistency to our performances and compete with conviction in every match.

“There is strong quality in this playing squad, and my job is to organise it, energise it and improve our results quickly.”

Meanwhile, Vitor Pereira will become the manager of Nottingham Forest after the departure of Sean Dyche.

Dyche was dismissed after Wednesday’s goalless draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers which left them just three points shy of the drop zone.

Pereira, who was previously in charge of Wolves, has a deal in place at the City Ground until the end of next season. He will become Forest’s fourth manager of the campaign after Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou and Dyche.

Pereira previously worked under Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis at Greek giants Olympiacos, winning the Greek Super League and Greek Cup title during the 2014-15 season.

Pereira joined Wolves in December 2024, but was dismissed in November 2025 after the club remained without a win after 10 games with just two points that left them at the bottom of the table. He was replaced by former Luton Town boss Rob Edwards.
