Moroccan midfielder Hakim Ziyech has joined Qatari club Al-Duhail after departing Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray, Afrosport reports.
Ziyech and Galatasaray parted ways by mutual agreement over a month after the former Ajax midfielder slammed the club’s management and coach Okan Buruk.
A statement from Galatasaray read: “Our professional footballer Ziyech’s contract has been mutually terminated. We thank Hakim Ziyech for his efforts and contributions to Galatasaray. Wishing him success in his future journey.”
The Morocco international has now secured a move to Al-Duhail on a free transfer, where he will play under former Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier.
“Al-Duhail Sports Club succeeded in obtaining the signature of Moroccan international player Hakim Ziyech,” the club said in a statement on Thursday.

Hakim Ziyech initially joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Premier League side Chelsea in the 2023-24 campaign. The move, however, became permanent in June.
The 31-year-old has played 34 times for Galatasaray, scoring eight goals and providing five assists, featuring 11 times in all competitions this season but only five times in the Turkish Super Lig.
The Moroccan will wear the number 93 jersey at Al-Duhail, who are atop the Qatar Stars League with 29 points, one more than second-placed Al-Sadd.
