Goalkeeper Daniel Aiyenugba saved a spot kick Beyond Limits Football Academy defeated Ghana’s Right To Dream FC 7-6 on penalties, to reach the semi-finals of the 2024 Gothia Cup in Sweden.
The game was tied 1-1 after regulation time, after Isaac Chukwudi’s first minute goal was cancelled out in the 50th minute.
During the penalty shootout, Aiyenugba, son of former Super Eagles goalie, Dele, saved the seventh spot kick of the Ghanaian team, while Beyond Limits converted all seven played.

The team tutored by coach Olumide Ajibolade will now face Sporting Lagos Academy in Friday’s semi-final.
Sporting Lagos Academy also triumphed 4-3 on penalties after playing 0-0 with Ivory Coast’s ASEC Mimosas Academy in their quarter-final clash.
