Super Falcons and UD Tenerife forward Gift Monday has been awarded as the Spanish Liga F Player of the Month for February, Afrosport reports.
The 23-year-old claimed the accolade after scoring two goals in three league matches in the month. The goals came in 2-0 and 2-1 victories over Sevilla and Valencia which took her tally for the season to 10 goals in 18 league games this term.
She won the award ahead of Real Madrid’s Alba Redondo, Barcelona’s Caroline Hansen and Deportivo La Coruna’s Ainhoa Marin.
Athletic Bilbao’s Ane Azkona, Granada’s Ari Mingueza and Eibar’s Elba Verges were also nominated for the award.

Gift Monday became the third Nigerian to win the Liga F Player of the Month after Rasheedat Ajibade and Edna Imade for Atletico Madrid and Granada respectively.
