Inaki Williams scored his first goal of the season as Athletic Bilbao defeated fellow Basque side Leganes in La Liga on Thursday, Afrosport reports.
After a goalless first half at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque, the reigning Copa del Rey champions came alive in the 65th minute when Dani Vivian put them in front.
The lead was doubled 10 minutes later thanks to Inaki Williams who made a darting run into the box before latching on to the ball and firing past Leganes goalkeeper Juan Soriano.
It took the Ghanaian forward’s goal contribution tally in just two La Liga games to four after assisting all three goals in the 3-2 win at Las Palmas previously, which is as many goals in his last 22 appearances in the Spanish top flight.
