Patrick Agyemang saved the night for Charlotte FC as he came off the bench to score his first-ever Major League Soccer goal in Saturday’s 3-3 draw with the Seattle Sounders at the Bank of America Stadium.
Charlotte lost back-to-back league games against Philadelphia Union and Columbus Crew and needed a response against the Sounders.
The two-time MLS Cup champions took the lead twice in the first half via Cristian Roldan and Raul Ruidiaz while Jaylin Lindsey scored for Charlotte.
The second half began with former Burnley midfielder Ashley Westwood equalising for Charlotte to make it 2-2 in the 53rd minute before Ruidiaz netted in the 70th minute to complete his brace and restore Seattle’s lead for the third time in the game.
It seemed as though Charlotte were heading for a third straight defeat until Agyemang, coming off the bench in place of Bender Ben in the 75th minute, popped up to equalise in added time with a brilliant header from Nathan Byrne’s cross.
What a night, wish we could have got the 3 points for you all tonight but I’m thankful to have scored my first goal for Charlotte fc! We keep going ???? #forthecrown https://t.co/4MEMXI5IhD

It was only the Ghanaian’s fourth outing for Charlotte having been selected by the North Carolina outfit as the 12th overall pick during the 2023 MLS SuperDraft last December.
Charlotte sit in 10th place in the MLS Eastern Conference standings and will travel to face New York City Red Bulls on June 22.
