Galatasaray have completed the signing of Gabon midfielder Mario Lemina from Wolverhampton Wanderers for €2.5 million on a one-and-a-half-year deal with the option for an additional year, Afrosport reports.
Lemina had not featured for Wolves since January 6 after falling out of favour with new manager Vitor Pereira.
He was stripped of the captaincy by former boss Gary O’Neil in December after an altercation with West Ham United forward Jarrod Bowen.
Lemina joined Wolves in 2023 from OGC Nice and , made 77 competitive appearances, scoring six goals and providing five assists.
“An agreement has been reached with Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club regarding the transfer of professional football player Mario Rene Junior Lemina,” read a Galatasaray statement on X.
“In this context, a transfer fee of 2,500,000 EUR will be paid to the football player’s former club.
“A 1.5+1 year contract was signed with the football player starting from the 2024-2025 season.
“Accordingly; a guarantee fee of EUR 1,250,000 will be paid for the second half of the 2024-2025 season, EUR 2,500,000 for the 2025-2026 season, and optionally EUR 2,500,000 for the 2026-2027 season.”

Lemina is the third winter signing for Galatasaray after Alvaro Morata from AC Milan (on loan) and Ahmed Kutucu from Eyupspor.
