Aliyu Zubairu’s side defeated Ghana’s Black Satellites 2-1 on Wednesday in the final of the tournament, which was held in Lome, Togo.
A brace from Beyond Limits FA forward Kparobo Ariehri was all Nigeria needed to emerge victorious at Stade de Kegue despite Jerry Afriyie’s goal for Ghana, as the Flying Eagles held on to defend the title that won in Niger Republic in 2022.
Both Nigeria and Ghana will represent the WAFU B zone at next year’s U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in South Africa having gotten to the final of the qualifiers in Togo.
The 2025 U20 AFCON will serve as the African qualifiers for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile, as the final four teams will secure automatic qualification and represent the continent on the global stage.
