Wydad Casablanca were eliminated from the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States after they suffered a 4-1 defeat in the hands of Italian heavyweights Juventus in Philadelphia on Sunday, Afrosport reports.
The Moroccan giants lost their opening Group G game to Manchester City and were behind against the Bianconeri after six minutes when Abdelmounaim Boutouli put the ball into his own net.
It was 2-0 10 minutes later thanks to Kenan Yildiz before Wydad halved the deficit through Thembinkosi Lorch in the 25th minute.
That was as far as the Red Castle could go with Yildiz adding his second for Juve in the 69th minute and Dusan Vlahovic from the penalty spot in injury time.
