Dutch Eredivisie giants Feyenoord have moved training to Belgium this week to allow new signing Raheem Sterling integrate with his new teammates, Afrosport reports.
The 31-year-old England winger joined the club as a free agent until the end of the season after his contract with Chelsea was mutually terminated.
He is however unable to train with Feyenoord until he receives a work permit which takes up to week to process.
Feyenoord have now gone across the border with Belgium to to use the Belgian Football Association’s training facility at Tubize on Monday and Tuesday.
“One of the reasons is that Sterling can train with the team,” head coach Robin van Persie said.
“But we can also work on our team culture there. It’s for Raheem and for those processes that we’re going to do this.”
