Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll will increase his stake in the Aston Martin Formula 1 team by £52.5 million, Afrosport reports
According to City AM reported, Stroll’s Yew Tree Consortium is attempting to acquire 75 million shares of the company at a 7% premium.
Stroll first took over a major share in the company in 2021, then increased it two years later.
Aston Martin F1, in a statement said the move underscores Stroll’s long-term and unwavering commitment to both the luxury automobile brand and it’s F1 team.
The 65-year-old intends to turn the Silverstone outfit into a front-runner in F1 that is capable of winning races and the championship.

The team signed Adrian Newey as managing technical partner which will be hopefully give them the edge ahead of F1 regulation changes in 2026.
They also have two-time world champion Fernando Alonso and Stroll’s son Lance, as the drivers tied for next year.
