F1: Adrian Newey to earn reported £89,000 per day as Aston Martin role begins

Adrian Newey has officially started work in his new role at Aston Martin as managing technical partner ahead of the 2025 Formula 1 season, Afrosport reports.

After almost two successful decades at Red Bull Racing, Newey will spearhead Aston Martin’s F1 design team and will own a minority stake in the team.

According to Crash.net, he will reportedly earn £30 million per year at Aston Martin which is equivalent to £2.5 million per month and £623,000 per week.

The 65-year-old is one of several high-profile additions to join Aston Martin who have also restructured their management team by making Andy Cowell as team principal and Mike Krack as head of trackside operations while Enrico Cardile is chief technical officer.

With Newey joining after Aston Martin launched their 2025 challenger, his focus will be on the car for 2026 when new engine regulations will come in place.

The 2025 F1 season will commence at the Australian Grand Prix on the weekend of March 14-16.
