Cody Gakpo has boasted that the Netherlands has quality that matches England midfielder Jude Bellingham at the ongoing Euro 2024 championship.
The 21-year-old has been one of the stars in Germany and has found the back of the net for the Three Lions twice in a 1-0 Group C win against Serbia and a late equaliser in the round of 16 against Slovakia which they won 2-1 after extra time.
The Oranje and England will go head to head in the semi-finals on Wednesday in Dortmund and Gakpo is anticipating an eagerly-contested game.
“Obviously he is having a very good season. He is a world-class player. He made a fantastic goal the other game (against Slovakia),” the Liverpool forward said.
“It’s a player we need to watch. But I think they have more players that we need to watch. They have a very good team with very good players. But we have a very good team as well. So hopefully it’s going to be a very good game.”

The Netherlands are making it into the Euro semi-finals for the first time since 2004 and will hope to reach the final for the first time since 1988 when they won the tournament.
