England captain Harry Kane is expected to undergo a scan on his injured ankle today.
The Tottenham hotspur attacker was substituted in the 76th minute in the Three Lions 6-2 emphatic victory over Iran on Monday.
The England captain provided the assist for their third goal – finding Chelsea forward, Raheem Sterling with a well-timed cross into the box.
England boss Gareth Southgate termed the forward’s withdrawal from the game – ‘a precaution’.
Kane did not take part in the open training session on Tuesday as he was spotted wearing a strapping around his ankle while leaving the stadium after their Group B opener.
The 29-year-old is not a stranger to ankle injuries having previously missed 14 games in the 2016/17 season for his club side.
