A number of African football stars joined the world in celebrating Eid-al-Adha, the second annual Islamic holiday after Ramadan on Wednesday.
Liverpool’s Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa, Morocco’s Youssef Ait Bennasser, Burkina Faso’s Bertrand Traore and Nigeria’s Shehu Abdullahi were among the football stars who took to social media to share their goodwill messages.
The players were not left out of the celebration, even as they continue to enjoy their off-season break.
Mohamed Salah tweeted: “Happy new year to everyone and Eid Al-Adha Mubarak to all of us.”
