Wilfred Ndidi was on target and also provided an assist on Tuesday night as Leicester City secured a 2-0 win over Tranmere Rovers to move into the third round of the EFL Cup.
The Nigerian midfielder found the back of the net in the previous round against League One side Burton Albion by a similar 2-0 scoreline.
He got cooking again at Prenton Park by opening the scoring in the 55th minute with a brilliantly-struck low effort that found it’s way into the bottom left corner of the net. Ndidi turned provider four minutes later by sending the ball into veteran Jamie Vardy’s path to head home.

The result continues Leicester’s fine start to life as a second tier outfit with a 100% competitive record, winning six games including four in the Championship where they sit at the top, two points clear of Norwich City.
Some Africans were involved in Tuesday’s goalscoring action. These included Franco-Congolese forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and his hat-trick in Crystal Palace’s 4-2 win at Plymouth Argyle.

Morocco’s Ryan Mmaee scored and assisted in Stoke City’s 6-1 bashing of Rotherham United. Algerian winger Mehdi Leris was also on target for the Potters.
Ivory Coast’s Hamed Traore scored in Bournemouth’s 3-2 win at Swansea City while Anglo-Nigerian David Ajiboye netted in Peterborough United’s 2-1 win over 2008 FA Cup champions Portsmouth. Another Anglo-Nigerian, Freddie Ladapo also found the back of the net in Ipswich Town’s 2-2 draw with Reading which the former eventually won on penalties 3-1.
