Nigerian forward, Victor Olatunji has joined Czech Republic giants Sparta Prague from FC Slovan Liberec on a multi-year contract.
Sparta Prague confirmed Olatunji’s move on Monday as their fourth summer signing, with club sporting director Tomas Rosicky speaking highly of the striker.
“We are talking about a player with interesting physical and speed parameters. Typologically, this is a striker that we currently do not have in the squad,” Rosicky said.
Olatunji, who will turn 24 in September, is a centre forward who began his career in Lagos Islanders academy before moving to Europe to join Slovakia where he had stints with Inter Bratislava and Podbrezova.
The Nigeria striker also played in Cypriot club Alki Oroklini before moving to FC Slovan Liberc where he scored eight goals and provided one assist in 18 appearances last season.
Olatunji played two games in the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds where he scored one goal and featured nine times in the UEFA Europa League.
