Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem has completed a move to Ligue 1 side Nantes from Major League Soccer (MLS) club Colorado Rapids, Afrosport reports.
The 28-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year deal until June 2028, marking a return to the Canaries after an eight-year absence.
Awaziem spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Nantes, scoring once in 23 appearances for the French club.

The defender joined Colorado Rapids on a one-year deal via FC Cincinnati last December. He, however, departs the club, having made 22 appearances across all competitions.
He has played for numerous clubs across his nomadic career, shifting across Europe since his first big move to Porto’s youth team in 2025. He has played for clubs in Portugal, Turkey, Croatia and Spain as well as MLS.
Awaziem made his international debut for Nigeria in June 2017 and has since made 33 appearances for the Super Eagles, scoring once. He has represented Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup as well as three Africa Cup of Nations (2019, 2021 and 2024).
