Newcastle United have announced the signing of Yankuba Minteh from Danish club Odense.
The 18-year-old Gambian will officially join the Magpies on July 1 after which he will be sent out on loan to Dutch Eredivisie champions Feyenoord for the 2023-24 season.
Newcastle sporting director, Dan Ashworth, stated that Minteh’s signing was in line with the club’s philosophy of investing in young and emerging talent.
The Magpies finished and impressive fourth in the Premier League last season and will be returning to the UEFA Champions League for the first time in two decades.

Minteh made his senior career debut with Odense during the 2022-33 season, scoring four goals and providing six assists as they finished second in the relegation playoff round behind FC Midtjylland.
