Done Deal: Mamadou Fall completes permanent Barcelona transfer from LAFC

Amadou Onana looks forward to UCL action after completing Aston Villa transfer

Barcelona have completed the permanent signing of Mamadou Fall from Major League Soccer giants Los Angeles FC.

The 21-year-old Senegalese defender spent last season on loan with the Barca B team, playing 22 times in the Spanish third tier.

Fall will now continue with the club after Barcelona confirmed he signed a two-year contract at the club.

“Fall is a player with incredible potential and exceptional talent,” LAFC Co-President & General Manager John Thorrington said.

“He began his professional journey at LAFC, and we are excited to see him join not only one of the top clubs in the world but also a great environment for his continued development. We wish him nothing but the best in his career at Barcelona.”

Fall played regularly alongside compatriot Mikayil Faye last season but may need a new partner if Faye is promoted to the Barcelona first team for the 2024-25 season.

He played 42 times for LAFC, winning the MLS Cup in 2022. He also spent time on loan with Las Vegas Lights and Villarreal.
