Liverpool have completed the signing of French striker Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt in a £79 million deal, Afrosport reports.
The 23-year-old has agreed personal terms and passed a medical, with the deal now subject to international clearance.
The Reds will pay an initial fee of £69m for the France youth international, with an additional £10m in performance-based add-ons. This takes their summer spending close to £300m.
Arne Slot’s men are currently in Hong Kong and Ekitike is expected to meet up with his new teammates this week for their pre-season tour of Asia.

Liverpool reached an agreement to sign the striker last week, edging out Newcastle United, who initially had a club-record £70m bid rejected by Frankfurt.
The Reds intensified their push for Ekitike after the Magpies turned down their approach for Sweden forward Alexander Isak.
He becomes Liverpool’s fifth summer signing, joining goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili and defenders Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez as well as record signing Florian Wirtz.
Ekitike joined Frankfurt from Paris Saint-Germain in 2023, and scored 26 goals in 64 appearances for the German club.
He bagged 22 goals and provided 12 assists in 48 games last campaign goals and was named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season for 2024-25.
