Done Deal: Leeds United snap up McKennie from Juventus

Premier League club Leeds United have completed the loan signing of Weston McKennie from Italian giants Juventus.

The 24-year-old American moves to Elland Road to become the third USA player in the current Leeds squad after Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson, all under the watch of American manager Jesse Marsch.

“It feels good to be a Leeds player, I’ve heard a lot of great things from [Tyler Adams], Brenden Aaronson and Jesse Marsch, everyone tells me about the atmosphere here,” McKennie said on the club website.

“Obviously I did my own research on the club and the support is wild, I’m really excited to be here and playing in the Premier League is a dream.

“Knowing I’m going to be playing with some of my teammates from the national team, I’m sure it will be easy to fit in and it was an easy decision for me.”

McKennie’s Premier League debut could come on Sunday when Marsch’s men travel to Nottingham Forest.
