UAE Pro League club Al Ain have confirmed the signing of Nigeria U20 forward Rilwanu Haliru Sarki on a permanent deal.
Haliru Sarki caught the eye of the Abu Dhabi-based club with his impressive performances for the Flying Eagles at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.
During the youth tournament, Haliru Sarki scored a goal after coming off the bench in Nigeria’s 2-0 win over Argentina in the Round of 16.
Haliru Sarki, unfortunately, did not play in Nigeria’s final game in the competition as they lost 1-0 to Korea Republic in quarter-final.
The 19-year-old has been handed the number 77 shirt by Al Ain who finished second in the UAE Pro League and they will play in the AFC Champions League group stage next season.
