Novak Djokovic was knocked out of the Monte Carlo Masters after losing his second-round match to Alejandro Tabilo 6-3, 6-4, Afrosport reports.
The 37-year-old came into the tournament off the back of losing the Miami Masters final to 19-year-old Jakub Mensik last month.
Djokovic was also dealing with an eye infection what had been affecting him since the Miami semi-finals when he defeated Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov.
Tabilo, who beat Djokovic in last year’s Rome Masters, broke him twice in the first set after losing the opening serve.
The 27-year-old broke the Serbian in the third game of the second set and went on to win the match in one hour, 28 minutes.
He will face Dimitrov in the next round.

Djokovic, meanwhile, will continue his quest to win his 100th career title.
He last tasted success at the Paris 2024 Olympics when he won his first-ever gold medal.
