Senegal striker Boulaye Dia scored a goal and provided an assist as Salernitana recorded a comfortable 3-0 Serie A win over Sassuolo on Saturday.
The Garnets were without a win in their last six league matches, all of them ending in draws.
Their fortunes however changed at Stadio Arechi when Lorenzo Pirola gave them the lead in the nine minute. It became 2-0 to Salernitana 11 minutes later after Erik Botheim headed the ball into Dia’s path to finish from close range.
The 26-year-old Senegal international then turned provider for the third and final goal, feeding the ball to Mali midfielder Lassana Coulibaly to send in a fierce shot from outside the penalty area.
Dia now has a hand in 17 goals involvements in the Serie A this season (11 goals, six assists) which is the joint third-highest after the Napoli duo of Victoria Osimhen (21 goals, four assists) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (12 goals, 10 assists).

The victory lifts Salernitana up to 14th on the Serie A table, seven points clear of the relegation zone with a clash against neighbours and league leaders Napoli up next.
