Super Eagles forward Cyriel Dessers was on target as Panathinaikos played out a 1-1 draw with rivals Olympiacos in the Athens Derby in the Greek Super League on Sunday, Afrosport reports.
The 30-year-old opened his account for the Greens, since completing his Deadline Day transfer from Scottish Premiership heavyweights Rangers, in the 1-0 Greek Cup first round win over Athens Kallithea in midweek.
He got his first league goal in the Greek top flight in the 48th minute against Olympiacos by latching on to a pass from Anastasios Bakasetas and placing the ball past goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis in a one-on-one situation.

Panathinaikos thought they had snatched three points on home soil but Olympiacos robbed them of derby bragging rights when Moroccan forward Ayoub El Kaabi levelled in added time.
The result means Christos Kontis’ side are without a win after four Super League games and are third from bottom in the standings with just two points while Olympiacos are joint top on 10 points with AEK Athens and PAOK FC.
