Dessers ends Scottish Premiership season with goal in Rangers draw with Hibernian

Cyriel Dessers ended the 2024-25 Scottish Premiership with a goal in Rangers’ 2-2 draw with Hibernian at Easter Road on Saturday afternoon, Afrosport reports.

The Super Eagles forward has been in rich vein of form five goals in his last four matches, including a brace in a 3-1 win over Dundee United in midweek which took him to 50 competitive goals for the Glasgow giants

Dessers opened the scoring against Hibernian in just the second of play with composed finish off an assist from Nico Raskin.

The 30-year-old Nigerian ends the season with 18 Premiership goals and 29 in all competitions.


Kieron Bowie equalised for Hibernian in the 16th minute but Raskin was able to put Rangers 2-1 in the 50th minute.

The lead was however short-lived as Hibernian would level for the second time in game, this time from Martin Boyle in the 66th minute.

Rangers finished the season in second place, 17 points behind champions Celtic who drew 1-1 at home with St. Mirren while they were 17 points ahead of third-placed Hibernian.
