World football governing body, FIFA, has sanctioned Russian club CSKA Moscow with a transfer ban due to a deal involving Nigerian forward Chidera Ejuke, Afrosport reports.
FIFA has imposed an 18-month ban on CSKA Moscow due to unpaid fees to Dutch outfit Heerenveen, Ejuke’s former club before moving to Russia.
The football body stated that the transfer ban will only be rescinded when CSKA pays €3 million to Heerenveen.

Ejuke, 26, joined CSKA from Heerenveen in 2020 after playing just one season in the Netherlands.
The Nigeria international scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 26 appearances for Heerenveen, while he found the back of the net 10 times and provided eight assists in 65 games for CSKA Moscow.
Ejuke, who also secured a loan, moved to Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin and Belgian Pro League side Royal Antwerp and departed CSKA on a free transfer this summer.
He, however, joined La Liga outfit Sevilla in June and has one goal in nine matches.
