Cameroon have announced a 30-man provisional squad for the 2022 Africa Nations Championship in Algeria, which kicks off on January 13, 2023.
Alioum Saidou is the man that will be leading the Indomitable Lions to their fifth CHAN outing having participated in all editions of the competition.
The list is headed by 10 players from Coton Sport FC, the most successful Cameroonian club with 17 top-flight titles. The 30-man team includes Jerome Ngom Mbekeli who participated at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The 24-year-old, who plies his trade for Colombe Sportive, provided the assist for Vincent Aboubakar in the historic 1-0 win over Brazil.
Cameroon overcame Equatorial Guinea 2-1 on aggregate in September to seal their spot in Algeria and have been drawn in Group E alongside Congo and Niger.
They will kick off their campaign against the Congolese at the Oran Olympic Stadium on January 16.
